School Improvement

The Trust plays a key role in wider system leadership by supporting other schools through Warwickshire LA and national RISE Advisers, leading and participating in local and national partnerships and sharing expertise widely.

Our organisation has the capacity and strength to support new schools joining the Academy Trust or schools outside the Trust. We have SLE, LLE and ELE expertise, along with Curriculum Leaders who support across and beyond the Trust, who can articulate their school improvement repertoire. It means the best teachers can have the biggest impact on more children than they could ever teach in one school and unleash potential across many schools.

The Stour Federation learns from and contributes to the practice of other Academy Trusts in the region and further afield. A mindset for creativity and innovation, including disruptive thinking, is an essential ingredient in helping our School Trust generate increased value and improved levels of performance. We accept the opportunity to act as a leader in our sphere of influence, behaving as an inspiration to others and demonstrating what can be achieved for the benefit of other schools as well as our own.

Our school improvement steps for high performance are built on the climate and culture of the school, underpinned by our 6Cs:

In our Trust, we have adopted the 4 Disciplines of Execution (4DX) as our operating system for school improvement to ensure we remain agile and focused on what is most important right now. 4DX provides a clear framework that helps us identify and track our most critical goals, known as Wildly Important Goals (WIGs). This system encourages a culture of accountability and continuous improvement by establishing a rhythm of weekly meetings where we review progress, address challenges, and commit to specific actions. By using 4DX, we empower our staff and students to contribute to meaningful change, ensuring that our efforts are always aligned with our overarching mission to provide the best possible learning environment. This disciplined approach allows us to quickly adapt to new challenges and opportunities, making our school a dynamic and responsive institution dedicated to excellence.
